Naga And The Captainess is a magnificent 150-foot interactive art installation that blends impeccable craftsmanship with captivating storytelling. Comprised of a life-size shipwreck you can fully explore, with a gorgeous metal serpent looking upon the buried treasure floating in the sea around the wreckage.

As a design & fabrication lead, I led the creation of Naga the sea serpent’s dorsal spines. I developed an eight-step process for our team to fabricate 75 aluminum spikes in eight weeks, ranging from 6” to 7’ long, including measuring, scoring, bending, cutting, tacking, welding and grinding. I will lead their installation at Burning Man 2024.
